StudioTulsa book Recommendations

Long-time commentator Nancy Pearl shares her Fall reading recommendations

On the September 3, 2008, edition of "Studio Tulsa," host Rich Fisher chatted with our old pal (and our longtime book-reviewer) Nancy Pearl, whom the Los Angeles Times has called "one lusty librarian." The subject, naturally (and lustily?), was books --- in fact, Nancy has been occasionally recommending great reads to "Studio Tulsa" listeners since the late 1980s. (You can learn more about Nancy at www.nancypearl.com.) Here's a list of the eight titles that she and Rich discussed:

"Predictably Irrational" by Dan Ariely
"City of Thieves" by David Benioff
"Fieldwork" by Mischa Berlinski
"Animal Dialogues: Encounters with Animals in the Wild" by Craig Childs
"Beginner's Greek" by James Collins
"In the Woods" by Tana French
"How Doctors Think" by Jerome Groopman
"Citizen Vince" by Jess Walter
